We always enjoy getting outside in the sunlight after a snowstorm. It's usually cold but the winter wonderland calls for photos. The low sun in the winter creates harsh shadows and a stark beauty.

Heavy snow weighs down the boughs of these big spruce trees and long shadows on the ground remind us we are in deep winter.

Lots of snow on the branches surround this old stone building.

A January melt created a dense fog and interesting landscape.
