Gallery 3 - Earth Bound > Clouds > Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, Hawaii
Clouds can't get high enough to cover these Hawaiian volcanic mountains. Good reason the have so many famous astronomical observatories here. Mauna Loa on the left is the largest volcano on the planet in terms of volume and area and Mauna Kea on the right is a little taller at 13,796 ft above sea level. Photos by Debra from a jet airliner.
