NGC 7000, also known as the Great Cygnus Rift, is the bright pink nebula that lies at a distance of 2,200 light-years away and is estimated to span 100 light-years across. It is part of the larger North American nebula in the constellation of Cygnus. The dark dust cloud to the right is also known as the Northern Coal Sack. This whole area is an active star formation region.
