NGC 3628 is about 35 million light-years away in the constellation Leo and is an unbarred spiral galaxy viewed from the side. It is about the size of our own galaxy and its dust lanes can be seen throught the middle. It was discovered by William Herschel in 1784. It is one of the three galaxies in the Leo Trio along with M65 and M66.
